I have a similar problem. Have recently downloaded legal mp3s at a reasonably high bit rate and have burned them only to find some unwanted sounds/glitches. There is one particular glitchy sound that seems to be dependent on the volume and pace of the music which I am hearing again and again. I never have any problems with copying my own cds and burning but downloads can be a problem. Possibly it is down to the software that I am using to burn.
