Changing Windows Phone 7 to Android 2,2 on mobile phone

Hi,
I made the mistake of purchasing a HTC Mozart mobile phone with Windows Phone 7 OS installed. I liked the earlier versions of Windows Mobile on my phones more than any other OS, but Windows Phone 7 is terrible. It will even block me from downloading certain file types from the web. Even .cab files and .wml pages! The device is great, and it is only the OS that lets it down. It would be so much more useful with the Android OS.

Since Microsoft has thrown away their one advantage over other phone operating systems which was allowing the user to decide which types of file they want to download (there are many reasons that I have downloaded files using my mobile phone that will not operate on the device, but I send them then to my PC and install them on that). So I won't ever use an OS that stops me from downloading any file type I choose to. MS has obviously tried to emulate Apple in doing this, treating the user like a fool and stopping them from doing many things that they have been able to do with a Windows phone in previous versions. By treating the user like an intelligent being and letting them choose what type of file they want to download for whatever reason they have, MS had that one thing over the other OS's that kept me using it over the past ten years or so. Now they have ruined that, there is no longer any reason to use Windows. Especially since now there are better OS's for free such as Android that will let me decide what I will and won't download or try to open with my phone.

So I need to change the OS on my HTC phone to Android 2.2 from the useless Windows Phone 7 OS. Where can I get the files to do this in the simplest of ways, and as well as the required files/images I need the instructions to help me do the install, as I have never changed a phones OS before?

Regards, Gina.
